In a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a greener future, our directorate successfully distributed fruit trees to 45 learning institutions across Kisii County. This initiatives aligns with our commitments to combat climate change, promote environmental awareness, and support educational institutions in their journey towards sustainable practices.

The distribution was held on November 2023 and it saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and staff members of the beneficiary institutions. Each institution received a variety of fruit trees, including Mango, Avocado, Guava among others selected for their adaptability to the local climate and potential to provide both nutritional and economic benefits in the years to come.

This initiative is part of our broader strategy to integrate environmental education into the learning experience, encouraging young people to actively participate in climate action. By planting and nurturing these trees, Students will not only contribute to environmental conservation but also gain practical knowledge about agricultures, sustainability and the importance of biodiversity.
